With the support and organization of the Council of Europe, within the framework of the project “Harmonization of Laws and Policies with the Istanbul Convention,” the training of facilitators for the implementation of the National Program for the Treatment of Perpetrators of Violence against Women has started.

A total of 16 officials are participating in this training, including officials responsible for the implementation of rehabilitation programs and social affairs officers. The training is divided into three phases and will be led by field experts, with the aim of professionally preparing participants for the implementation of this program in correctional institutions.

Through this process, the Kosovo Correctional Service aims to increase staff capacities and expand the implementation of the program to other correctional institutions as well.

So far, due to limitations in staff capacities, this program has been implemented only at the Dubrava Correctional Center.
