The Director General of the Kosovo Correctional Service, Mr. Ismail Dibrani, together with the Acting Deputy Director General for Security and Operations, Mr. Besar Gashi, are participating in the Forum of Heads of Services of the International Corrections and Prisons Association (ICPA), being held in Turkey as part of the 27th Annual Conference of this organization.

Within the framework of this forum, Mr. Dibrani met with the President of ICPA, Mr. Davide Brown, whom he informed about the achievements, successes, and recent developments of the Kosovo Correctional Service, as well as the institution’s commitment to implementing international standards in the correctional field.

Furthermore, Director Dibrani held meetings with the directors of correctional services from participating countries such as Turkey, Japan, France, Belgium, Poland, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, and others, where discussions focused on best practices and opportunities for professional and inter-institutional cooperation.

More than 60 correctional service leaders are taking part in this event, discussing staff sustainability, system reform, and well-being within correctional institutions.

The participation of the Kosovo Correctional Service in this international forum underscores the institution’s commitment to following global best practices, strengthening professional capacities, and advancing work standards within the country’s correctional institutions.

The ICPA Conference will continue throughout the week with sessions focused on innovations and modern approaches to correctional management.
