Today, the General Director of Kosovo Correctional Service, Mr. Ismail Dibrani, and the Executive Director of Non-Governmental Organization “Monumenta”, Mrs. Doruntina Ukimeri, have signed the cooperation memorandum.

This memorandum aims to involve prisoners in artistic activities, with a special focus on convicted women. Through the “Art from Prison” project, ten works of art will be created by female prisoners, offering them an opportunity to engage in creativity and self-improvement.

An important aspect of this project is the opportunity for female prisoners to sell their artwork while serving their sentence. This will not only provide them with financial support, but will also help facilitate their integration into society after their release.

Through this cooperation the Kosovo Correctional Service and the NGO “Monumenta” aim to promote the rehabilitation and integration of prisoners into society through art and creativity.
