Today KCS has received the following donation from EULEX. In the official ceremony, organized for this case the General Director of KCS, Mr. Ismail Dibrani, together with the Head of EULEX Monitoring Pillar, Mr. Giovanni Galzignato, and Chief of Correctional Unit, Mrs. Anu Melkko, signed agreement on delivery acceptance of this donation.
Up to now, this donation is considered the largest received by KCS, including: a vehicle, a generator, 293 computers and laptops, and also other technological equipment and devices as scanners, printers, telephones, two-way radio communication and inventory for office.
During his speech, Mr. Dibrani expressed gratitude to EULEX for this extraordinary support, emphasizing that this donation will contribute to advancing and modernizing technical equipment. “This assistance will contribute to advancing the standards and efficiency of our correctional institutions,” he said.
On the other hand, Mr. Galzignato and Mrs. Melkko appreciated the importance of inter-institutional cooperation, emphasizing that this donation is a reflection of EULEX’s commitment to supporting the Kosovo Correctional Service in fulfilling international standards.
This moment marks a major step towards modernizing and strengthening the capacities of the KCS, emphasizing the important role of international partners in the development of our correctional institutions.
