Today, the General Director of the Kosovo Correctional Service, Mr. Ismail Dibrani, hosted a meeting with the Director of the Department for Public Safety and Security of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), Mr. Bertram Welsing.

During the meeting, Mr. Dibrani provided a close overview of the challenges and achievements to date of the Kosovo Correctional Service, emphasizing the commitment to further advancing the correctional system and strengthening cooperation with international partners, particularly with the OSCE.

The OSCE’s support to the Kosovo Correctional Service has included the drafting of the Strategic Development Plan, strengthening the professional capacities of staff, support in drafting policies and the legal framework, donation of computer equipment, as well as support in promoting and protecting the rights of prisoners.

On the other hand, Mr. Welsing congratulated Mr. Dibrani on the work and achievements so far, expressing readiness to continue cooperation in the fields of security, professionalization, and implementation of international standards in the correctional system.
