In his address, Mr. Hoti emphasized that this ceremony marks the success of a group of correctional professionals from Kosovo who, with dedication and seriousness, have completed advanced training in Denmark. He described this experience as an important professional and human opportunity, built on the values of respect, responsibility, and professionalism.

The Deputy Director General also praised the agreement between Kosovo and Denmark regarding the accommodation of Danish prisoners in Gjilan Prison, describing it as a unique and reliable partnership that demonstrates Denmark’s trust in the capacities of the Kosovo Correctional Service and in the management of modern correctional systems.

He expressed gratitude to the Danish authorities, trainers, and mentors for their professionalism, hospitality, and continuous support, emphasizing that this ceremony is not the end of a journey, but the beginning of a new chapter that requires high professional standards, ethics, and ongoing cooperation between the two states.

The Danish Minister of Justice, Mr. Peter Hummelgaard, congratulated the Kosovo correctional officers on the successful completion of the training and emphasized the importance of this step within the implementation of the agreement between the two countries. He also thanked the Danish staff for their hospitality and commitment, underlining that this project remains a high priority and that additional groups of officers from Kosovo are expected to complete the training.

She praised the success of the first group, including training in Danish culture and prison management, and thanked officials from both countries for the cooperation and dedication shown throughout the entire process.

The training on the Danish correctional system lasted six months, during which our correctional officers demonstrated dedication, discipline, and a high level of professionalism at every stage. Thanks to their commitment, they managed to acquire advanced knowledge and practices that strengthen the capacities of the Kosovo Correctional Service.

This success demonstrates the competence, seriousness, and motivation of our correctional officers, who continue to be an example of dedication to the highest professional standards and ethics in the field of correctional system management.
