Today, the General Director of the Kosovo Correctional Service, Mr. Ismail Dibrani, and the Director of the “Terre des Hommes Lausanne” Organization in Kosovo, Mr. Pajtim Zeqiri, signed a Cooperation Memorandum aimed at strengthening the partnership and collaboration in the field of protection of the rights of children and juveniles in conflict with the law.

This Memorandum aims to formalize cooperation for the development of educational, psychological, and social activities for juveniles in correctional institutions, as well as for the design and implementation of training modules for professional staff in the fields of juvenile justice, child protection, migration, and combating trafficking. Furthermore, this cooperation will include the creation of mechanisms for the protection and involvement of juveniles in decision-making processes that affect their well-being.

The Kosovo Correctional Service values the importance of this cooperation, which will directly contribute to improving the treatment and protection of juveniles, based on principles of mutual respect, transparency, and professional collaboration. This Memorandum represents an important step toward guaranteeing the rights and well-being of juveniles in the country’s correctional institutions.
