After a six month of implementation period “Program Y” in Dubravw has been successfully concluded, a focused initiative on violence prevention through rising awareness and inmate rehabilitation who committed acts of domestic violence. The program was implemented in cooperation with NGO “SIT” and financial support of UNFPA in Kosova.

Within the program, 15 inmates successfully completed trainings and were certified after participating in 12 key sessions, focused on raising awareness, changing beliefs and values, and also rebuilding peaceful and nonviolent behavior. During sessions, participants engaged in discussions on topics such as: the importance of reflecting on violent behaviors, confronting crisis, nonviolent communication techniques and rising awareness about consequences of violence.

Certification ceremony, held today, appreciated the dedication and progress of those individuals, giving hope for their successful rehabilitation and reintegration journey in society.
