The General Director of the Kosovo Correctional Service, Ismail Dibrani, together with members of the Correctional Intelligence Unit, at the invitation of the United States Department of Justice and the State Department’s Bureau of Counterterrorism (ICITAP), are participating in the 2024 American Correctional Association Conference, which is taking place in Nashville, Tennessee, USA.

The American Correctional Association Conference is one of the most important global events in the field of correctional system management and reform, where professionals from around the world gather to share experiences and best practices in prison administration and the treatment of prisoners.

At this conference, Mr. Dibrani is expected to discuss the challenges facing the correctional system of the Republic of Kosovo, the achievements of the KCS in building new capacities with the establishment of new units, the results of these units, as well as opportunities to strengthen cooperation with international partners in the field of security and justice.

His participation in this important event is evidence of the commitment of the Republic of Kosovo to follow the highest international standards in the administration of justice and to build a correctional system that promotes respect for human rights and the reintegration of prisoners into society.
