Brief History
Smrekonica Prison has started functioning since 1976, and since 2009 functioning as Smrekonica Correctional Center, and is functioning within the framework of the Kosovo Correctional Service, respectively Ministry of Justice.
General Description
Smrekonica Correctional Center is open type prison with a capacity of 200 inmates where are executed criminal sanctions – sentences up to two (2) years.
In Smrekonica Correctional Center only male convicted persons serve the sentence with final decisions of the competent Court.
